The people giving well meaning suggestions like "Maybe Uber should have a special list of drivers who agree to get paid a big bonus to carry the burden of serving disabled passengers" are not helping, in fact they suck donkey dick

What, specifically, about picking up disabled passengers increases the burden of maintenance and fueling such that it's a reason not to do it

You really don't hear how you sound huh The assumption that disabled people constitute an objective material burden flies right by, unspoken, and before it's even been clearly stated the people who object to it get called classists who want to burden the poor

Okay, good, let's agree that Asians aren't oppressed because many Asians are rich Fine Very few disabled people are rich In fact worldwide disability is one of the strongest predictors of reduced socioeconomic status https://social.un.org/publications/UN-Flagship-Report-Disability-Final.pdf …

So it's kind of fucked up, isn't it, that most people know that an Uber driver isn't "allowed" to cancel on me because I'm Asian but canceling on a disabled person is okay because they're not paid enough to deal with that shit
