When public transportation is so sparse and unreliable in all but a handful of American cities and taxis only exist as a useable service in 4 or 5 cities, Uber is the only thing that works in the majority of the country. They suck, but it’s true.

The cars also generally tend to be far cleaner. Every time I take a cab I feel like I need to hose off after.

I don't drive, I do a lot of commuting, and I never use Uber... that's not possible because of ~principles~, it's because I can WALK A LONG WAY

A lot of agencies and municipalities use Uber for medical transportation, as when you apply for SSI and are evaluated by a doctor. What now? You can't NOT use it, especially if the administration gets its way!
