the uber driver didnt break the law because uber is not ADA compliant due to being a “technological” company and not a transportation company. this is why it’s so cheap to ride uber; they dont abide by transportation laws, therefore no fees

Of course not, it’s shameful that Uber is allowed to operate that way. However, they’re allowed to get away with it. They put the onus on drivers to adhere to “corporate policy” as opposed to being required to follow the ADA.

This is also false! Uber's weasel language after the settlement with NFB carefully avoided actually admitting they were previously in violation of the ADA or mentioning the ADA at all, but the instructions to drivers clearly state taking service animals is a *legal requirement*

And it is! It would be a legal requirement if Uber didn't exist! If I put up paper signs all over my neighborhood advertising that I will drive people to the airport in my car for $50, I would be subject to ADA requirements - Title III applies to businesses regardless of size
