She had a blanket for the dog to sit on, and he was aware she had a service dog before he showed up. It's possible that he wasn't cut out for the giving-people-rides line of work.

As a rideshare driver, I can tell you I am always happy to see animals with their owners, whether they're service animals, or not. I carry a big beach towel for them. Better behaved than half my late night passengers. As for wheelchairs, there's always been enough room in back.

And while I have never needed to charge for damage done by an animal, the same can NOT be said for some of the drunk humans.
