She had a blanket for the dog to sit on, and he was aware she had a service dog before he showed up. It's possible that he wasn't cut out for the giving-people-rides line of work.

I mean, the idea that a service dog would be particularly more likely to damage his seats than any random human passenger is false anyway But "typical wear and tear" is inevitable and expected when you use a car as a taxicab
