Yes, a corporation throwing an individual employee under the bus so they don't have to make systemic change is always bad and always a possibility But if you let that possibility stop you from ever making a stink then nothing would ever change https://twitter.com/coffeespoonie/status/1219402138960396288 …

I don’t think this is the corporation throwing anyone under the bus. He signed an agreement which I would assume covers the ADA. I don’t know for certain. I’d love for someone to clear that up.

...in a slightly less bad company he'd be reprimanded, offered an improvement plan, and only fired if the reprimand was ignored.

According to coffeespoonie the whole reason she's so mad is that she got illegally turned down by four drivers in a row during her trip to Florida Only one of them, the last guy, got his contract terminated, and it could be because he's the one who intentionally escalated

(I.e. he's on video saying go ahead and call the company because he knows he's in the right)

Right yes - this is what I was about to say. The video I think is entirely what makes the difference. I’m 100% for action being taken when someone is turned down, but I can see how a company takes more harsh action with video evidence and the guy just having a horrid response.

...which to me reads like they fired the most visible one. Reporting them is the only recourse she has — so there's no blame on her — but I do think that the company is just firing people instead of doing something systemic.
