understand the perspective but i'm trying to speak from within the tradition if that makes sense? because breaking out in your direction forces an extremely different conversation.

*shrug* "What if God is evil" feels like much more of a direct attack on Christian tradition than "What if people who say they represent God are mistaken or lying" The latter has a long tradition within Protestantism and "freedom of conscience"

At possibly its most extreme extent it's why Quakers are opposed to any form of hierarchical organization in earthly religion and don't have professional clergy etc
