The funny thing is Cells at Work is so tightly focused on the drama of life as an immune system cell in the bloodstream "They should do HIV/AIDS next" makes perfect sense even though it sounds like an edgelord joke

It sort of works as a joke about how internal medicine residents are obsessed with the prospect of finding 1 disease to account for every problem a patient has, and trying to stretch lupus/TB/sarcoidosis to fit ANYTHING. But public giggling at "lupus" is not worth it!
