LRT: was also disappointed to see the Attack Helicopter story pulled, since I'm alienating people anyway today. It makes me again question whether I should ever write fiction about trans issues that isn't explicitly didactic

Like, the big story cycle I've wanted to write for a while is based on a literal dream I had back when my brain did wish fulfillment, about being able to adopt myself when I was younger and create a new timeline where I transitioned earlier. >

They're explicitly a Darth Vader figure, scarred and cybernetic from war, speaking in a deep voice because their vocal cords are injured. They have arm swords. They use "he" pronouns because they are entirely projecting their desire to transition on their alternate timeline self>

Anyway, I feel like that character would be denounced as a transphobic caricature if I wrote them, even though they're an intimate depiction of what I imagine i would have become if I had waited much longer to transition

I disagree, because it sounds like the text of the story would be clear that this is a consequence of unhealthy ways to defer dealing with gender dysphoria, and thereby be seen as a good depiction of how much dysphoria sucks.

Fwiw there's an anonymous poster in the comments section of the story claiming to be representing the author saying she's requested the story be pulled But we've had no official confirmation of this and the story is still up
