No, because the logic for the existence of separate Original and Adapted categories is that for Adapted there are other human authors who share the credit for the creative work of inventing the story That's not true for real events, unless the credit goes to God

Anyway what you're saying isn't as strictly true as you're making it out to be All sequels to existing movies go into the Adapted Screenplay category because they're based on something else, for instance

It doesn't have to be a 1:1 "adaptation" of an existing work, if it draws on any other piece of writing enough that they would get sued if they didn't have the rights then it counts for Adapted Screenplay
