I know that was an ad-lib (so again, Ford the person impacting on Han the character) but it was certainly quite a choice to use that take. Fans like to pretend that Han has a gooey marshmallow interior but there's a lot of stuff in the films to contradict that.

There's a reversal of this where in the first Hellboy movie Doug Jones played Abe Sapiens' body and David Hyde Pierce played his voice And when Pierce found out they were only going to credit one actor he insisted they credit Jones and not him

I mean let's be honest, nobody was like going to get James Earl Jones confused for somebody else. He was doing voice and theatre work pretty consistently even back then.
