I know that was an ad-lib (so again, Ford the person impacting on Han the character) but it was certainly quite a choice to use that take. Fans like to pretend that Han has a gooey marshmallow interior but there's a lot of stuff in the films to contradict that.

It's so real though Him being the guy who can't fucking spit it out, even when he's about to die and is completely out of time (Which they called back to with Henry Jones Sr thinking Indy fell off the cliff in Last Crusade)

I actually thought the Han scene in TRoS was a big high point, predictable as it was The reversal of the meaning of "I know", with Ben being the one who can't just say it and Han letting him off the hook

It's definitely one of the better scenes in the film.

What's weird is Ford doesn't show up in the credits which suggests he *really* resented being called back.

Possibly? But I can't recall that ever happening in a film before.

I mean I've seen it done in TV where they wanted to keep the guest star a secret until the end but I've never noticed it in films. And usually they still credit them in the end crawl. Was Nimoy credited in Into Darkness I wonder?

Daniel Craig wasn't credited for his cameo in TFA, he had to confirm it was him in an interview

Actually looking it up, James Earl Jones surprisingly didn't get credited for playing the voice of Darth Vader for any of the original theatrical releases of the original Star Wars trilogy Nor was he credited for his brief lines in RotS

I guess out of principle or something Lucas didn't want the illusion ruined that Darth Vader's body and voice were different people Funny how despite David Prowse being the officially credited actor for Darth Vader no one remembers it that way

There's a reversal of this where in the first Hellboy movie Doug Jones played Abe Sapiens' body and David Hyde Pierce played his voice And when Pierce found out they were only going to credit one actor he insisted they credit Jones and not him

I mean let's be honest, nobody was like going to get James Earl Jones confused for somebody else. He was doing voice and theatre work pretty consistently even back then.
