Well, it *does* make it clear that the RBCs are used as materials for the clot. They just don't, well, dry up and die from it like in real life.

(it doesn't make it clear what *exactly* happens as a wound heals but the protagonist RBC is in one and is fine the next episode so i guess they get to leave when the clot isn't needed anymore)
