The only thing you can do is accept it and move on to the next thing Which, of course, is much easier said than done

Tbh as much as I despise Mary Sue accusations and as absurd as Rey being Rule 63 Ken Palpatine is, I do think it gives more weight to Luke's terror over Rey's "darkness" in TLJ, especially since he says he recognized her from the beginning

i don't remember him saying he recognized her from the beginning, just that he knows NOW and that Leia knew she was a Palpatine when she started training her Whether this is Luke Force Ghost Afterlife knowledge passed to her or something else isn't clear

They've left it kind of vague but I prefer the headcanon that lots of people actually knew she was a Palpatine and didn't say anything because it's a sensitive subject

She has the distinctive Palpatine chin or something

I mean to be serious for a sec the scene where Han decides to take her in in TFA was loaded by JJ with a lot of subtext, Han and Maz have a brief conversation about whether he knows what he's doing, it's implied he at least suspects she's special somehow

I also think the only logical explanation for what Finn's abortive dying confession to Rey was going to be, other than a confession of love, is that he knew she was a Palpatine (because Leia told him)

I think the explanation by Abrams that he was going to tell her he’s force sensitive also works for that scene.

works better than "everyone knows Rey's a Palpatine except Rey," imo there's no way on earth Finn would keep that secret

They don't really show enough anti-stormtrooper prejudice onscreen to justify it even though they keep talking about it But I would've thought Leia would've confided that to Finn because he's the one who knows about being prejudged for bad guy associations

Note that he openly confirms to Poe that the reason he can't talk about it anymore after they're saved is that Poe is present
