I guess it's true though, what else is cancer but a bunch of brooding unhappy cells deciding they're too cool and special to play by cellular society's arbitrary rules

Thinking about it more, it's established in the first episode that the host is overall immunocompromised, which is why a relatively routine encounter with a common germ like a Pneumococcus becomes this huge crisis ...It seems likely this person is a long term cancer survivor

There needs to be a word for what happens when a visual metaphor goes full circle Like when Cancer goes full Akira on this show, it's a reference to Tetsuo's powers going out of control and destroying his identity as a *metaphor* for cancer But this time it literally is cancer
