The Lois/Supes/Clark triangle is really interesting this way when it becomes an exploration of Kal’s relationship with Clark and Supes even though he perceives himself as one person Lois makes Kal acknowledge he is both, but they’re different even if both him

You could view Lois as two-sided herself: cynical reporter who demands respect, and someone surprised who wants to be saved The real resolution of that arc is each of them coming to terms with both sides of themselves Man I want to see Clark and star-eyed Lois really talk now.
