I mean, sure, but it’s not exactly the core event in the narrative.

I thought Attack of the Clones meant specifically Order 66, which is a pretty pivotal moment, especially in the worldbuilding in the SW universe. I find the titles make a lot more sense in general if you assume they're about where the movie fits in the grand arc of history.

Order 66 doesn't happen until nearly the end of the next movie

“The Phantom Menace” isn’t too bad as a serial title. I could totally see that being the title of a Dan Dare comic.

“Revenge of the Sith” would work if everyone knew beforehand what the Sith were/was/is/are and what he/she/it/they wanted revenge for. Like “Revenge of The Hawkmen of Mongo!” would work for Flash Gordon.

Sadly to know what Sith are you have to have read/watched/played bits of the expanded universe stuff.

They talk about it at the end of The Phantom Menace

Kinda, but I still maintain that conversation only makes sense if you go in already knowing roughly what the Sith are from EU exposure.

I do think Lucas missed a trick by never having a Star Wars film entitles “A Princess of [Planet Name]”

The sequel trilogy did turn out to be an adaptation of the Jedi Prince books with a Jedi Princess
