I work multiple part-time jobs rather than 1 full-time (it helps me avoid burnout and boredom). I ask for clear directions, for verbal directions to be written down, and to have more time for tasks that involve reading or writing.

Anyways!! not everyone wants a strange dog bounding up to them, even if you’re like “oh he’s just friendly! He won’t hurt you!” like. You actually don’t know that. Leash your fucking dog. As the article says, it’s not your fur baby, it’s an unpredictable animal.

I did everything “right” btw - didn’t make eye contact w/ the dog as it ran up to me, held my hand out for it to sniff. It appeared to lose interest and walked away, but then suddenly snarled, whirled around and bit me behind my knee. I carry pepper spray, but it happened too

important article. I was bitten by an off-leash dog last week (I’m fine, it tore my leggings but didn’t break the skin); totally preventable had the owner been responsible. Dog owners need to keep their dogs leashed at all times in public areas - yes, even on lightly used trails.

alas, in my rageposting I forgot to add alt text to that pic. Alt text: a photo of my corsi-rosenthal box, made with two sets of 3 asiahorse 360 RGB fans, two fíltrete MERV 13 filters, and duct tape. The fans are emitting a hot pink glow, causing the filters to glow pink as well.

we’re in year 4 of a deadly and disabling pandemic and customers will come into my work maskless, hacking up a lung, covering their mouth with their hand, and then ask why I have the door propped open and what my CR box is. like please be fucking serious

I had a coworker a few yrs ago who was a gym bro, and after he found out I drank beer he’d hound me about how many calories and how much sugar it had (“like drinking a whole loaf of bread! Ew!”) and tell me to drink straight vodka instead, like he did. it was really sad

part of the reason I’m so vocal about the pandemic not being over is that once this happens, the very few tools that we all supposedly have will go away & not only will we have no data (or every little) around covid rates etc. but we’ll literally be on our own navigating covid.

In case you missed it: Atlanta is under a state of emergency until Feb 9 and the governor of Georgia has activated 1000 national guard troops who have been granted law enforcement power after protesters threw rocks and burned a cop car.

In case you were wondering why the Biden COVID response is the way it is, here is one of its advisors. Not only does he care little about disabled people surviving Covid, but those who he helped disable are also now disposable.

2. Death is a loss but living too long is also a loss. It leaves most of us debilitated and unable to contribute to society. We are no longer remembered as being vibrant and engaged, but instead as feeble and ineffectual. thetimes.co.uk/article/zeke-e
