seems to be synonymous with in , but I think all these great images can also be produced with base R graphics. To test this for myself, I've started building a new R package (). Here's an example of Nightingale's polar area chart:

One thing I wish came across in the article is that MiCall is an open-source project (GNU AGPL). It's all built out in the open, all the way back to 2014:

I'm really stoked to see MiCall (an HIV-1 drug resistance NGS pipeline that I helped develop at the ) perform so well in this method comparison! This is not a feeling I experience very often :-)

I got this animation working just in time for my lecture on genetic clustering today. You might have to click on the GIF to see the slider below the graph, which I use to vary the distance threshold.

The key difference between ggfree and current R tools for plotting trees like `ape` is that it gives the user access to the outputs of the layout algorithm, and adapts the generic plot methods (like `points`) for more familiar code. Github:

Best quote from this post: "The default palette() in R is no longer utterly horrible." :-) This is a very welcome addition to the R update!

Finally got my plot function working for simulated transmission trees! This is an outcome of a hybrid forward-time/coalescent discrete-event sim of SI model. Orange arrows are transm's, blues are subsequent contacts. Black lines are sampled hosts.

Stupid things I've done changing tires on our car (& their equiv.): 1/n: called roadside assist for a dropped lugnut in deep snow () 2/n: replaced summer tire with another summer tire (IndexError) 3/n: split pants from crotch to knee (buffer overflow)
