I'd guessing it's not about the resonance of your voice, just about filler words, especially "like". When I send voice messages I try to be very present and pause instead of using a filler word. Of course it's best to not pause too long, but in any case it's good practice

Yes, I think you're right. I've been trying to drop filler words for a while but it's deeply ingrained in us Californians.
