Morality is a big one. I am very romantic so truth, beauty, and love, etc. certainly get me charged. I don't really nerd out on art and music itself, but I do nerd out on the creative process, what it entails, how to produce something elegant and worthwhile, etc.

There are many things worse than death. Life is about the destination, not the journey. Either make babies or make an equivalent contribution to the 'greater good'. The true self is a multi-individual, multi-generational entity--live accordingly. (All very problematic ideas.)

The babies/contribution one is a fascinating version of the rule to leave a campsite in better condition than you found it. Feels like the most contentious position because of the "burden" it assigns.
I misread the destination one bc I'm so used to the usual version. Elaborate?

I think our culture overemphasizes experience over achievement. There's a balance to strike, but a lot of what people think they 'should' do is overly individualistic and narcissistic, as in "I want to experience as much as possible before I die" instead of leaving a legacy, etc.
I agree on the balance to strike. Leaning too far into taking *or* giving are both errors in my view. One should serve others and themself.
