Is it something that I can intend to do to another person?
E.g. If I believe X and I don't know you, can approach you *wanting* to persuade you of X?
Or would that be something different from persuasion?

Replying to
Persuasion: convincing someone they want or think something they didn't previously.
You might do this to serve your purposes and not theirs (manipulation).
'Indoctrination' implies the manipulation will now run itself, perpetually.
If they won't comply, you coerce them.
