A thing I've noticed: many of the bigger accounts on here give lots of advice and suggestions (think ). But when smaller accounts mimic this no one cares.
And it has nothing to do with the quality of the advice given.

For me, giving ‘advice’ tweets just speaks to my frame of mind: I’m always thinking about how to be better, how to fix things, and how to help people. It’s self-therapeutic and I like following others who cultivate this energy, of trying to do good, even if the tweets are meh.

In the smaller accounts the energy feels authentic, and there’s an opportunity of collaborating, sharing in the positive energy. With the bigger ones, that’s not really possible so I generally don’t bother following them.
That’s a good point about authenticity, definitely harder to be authentic as account grows. seems like there’s a variant of the ceo-effect in play where offhand comments get interpreted as orders/endorsements or get interpreted as meaning something deeper when they didn’t
