Wow I am really paranoid about being misunderstood
It makes me bad at twitter because I want to add a million caveats to everything I say, but also don't want to leech out the force of my statement by saying a million extra things

I notice this tension in myself, add lots of caveats, etc. I want to be perceived as open-minded.
I think if you’re honest and have integrity, that will shine through over the long-term, even if you’re occasionally misunderstood. At least that’s what I tell myself (caveat).

IRL I've heard that the using a lot of "that's my PoV", "I could be wrong" and "the way I see it" can come across as... Forceful, as if I leave no space for rebuttal. I was floored then, but can kind of see it now.
