Yes, perhaps. There's a masculine allure of 'gear' or objects that could be used to accomplish very tangible physical tasks that corresponds with the ancestral role of men. Objects less task oriented, but more aesthetic or 'ambient' (feel vs. do) might correspond to the feminine.
