No I just looked at two numbers. Student debt in 2004: 260B, 2019: 1.6T. This isn’t new. And so one would question the “investment and roi” of college.

@jillruthcarlson is saying is that it's important to look at the bias/incentives a VC (or, anyone) has, rather than take advice at face value. I agree that college isn't the best path for most, but it and starting a biz aren't the only options. Awareness of bias is essential.Hvala. Yeah - going to college has a crazy high cost and even worse opportunity cost. If you wanan study history - read books. College is only give a one sided perspective anyway on most subjects.

As a kid (in China) I *hated* studying history, politics and philosophy because they felt like "remembering boring stuff to pass exams".
