Your overly-simplistic take of "No subject should be avoided." It's missing the point.

Being an asshole bigot just plain isn't funny. It's just being an asshole bigot.

Joking about controversial topics doesn’t make you a bigot. I mean, they’re called jokes for a reason. They aren’t meant to be taken seriously. I can joke about Islam, and not be an islamophobe (which I’m not) because they are jokes.

I mean is it really harassment though? If he’s pointing something out that’s true, then it’s just a statement of fact. Like if someone were to say to me “you’re a white fucking liberal!” I’d say “yeah I am, thanks for noticing”. But then again this isn’t about me.

"I mean is it really harassment though?" Yes. Calling someone a "lispy queer" to discredit them instead of engaging with their ideas is bad and the treatment Maza has been receiving is absolutely harassment.

Oh hey, it’s you again! Hello! I wasn’t aware that he was being called a lispy queer. I thought he was just being called a gay Hispanic. Yeah, that is harassment. I don’t support it and it really sucks that he’s getting harassed.

Now I’m not trying to justify the harassment in any way, but the scorched earth response YouTube had in response to this incident was awful and is impacting and even taking away the livelihoods of people on both sides of this argument.

The response they had to the incident was crickets The "scorched response" was from actually watching Crowder's channel and apparently being surprised that they've been hosting white nationalists when literally everyone has been complaining about it for months
