Daniel Cormier suffered a torn cornea last night, Cormier told me this morning. No timetable yet for recovery. Doctors said he won’t need surgery just yet but they have to monitor how it heals before knowing for sure. He was discharged from the hospital late Saturday night.

He’ll definitely need surgery. That eye poke looked absolutely abysmal.

The doctors just said he won’t need surgery and I’m pretty sure they are smarter than a guy who can’t predict more than one fight on the main card correctly.

Almost like they should have some rules in the sport for it. Like a point taken away or something. Ffs if the refs would do their jobs fighters would lose points and fights for this crap. Should be automatic point deduction and automatic dq for a 2nd. Would stop it immediately.

People can get a cornea implant if necessary. Yes, should regain his sight.
