    This big announcement today from the Moms & seems totally in line with the planks of the too, especially 's proposed Community Benefits Fund and 's Community Control and Anti-Displacement Fund

    Today w we introduced Moms 4 Housing Tenant Opportunity to Purchase Act , which gives renters the 1st right to purchase their home if a landlord sells. It would transfer property ownership to tenants, comm. land trusts, nonprofit affordable housing developers.

    The amount of work volunteer homeless advocates do in the Bay Area is astonishing. Some work 7 days a week delivering sleeping bags, tents, and helping connect folks work services, all without pay. We’ve got some real unsung heroes in the Bay.

    A call went out to a tireless homeless advocate who showed up in 15 minutes with sleeping bags and other survival gear for those who lost everything. She's out of tents now, though. Red Cross is expected to be coming at some point. City of Oakland has nothing for them.

    Outrageous! Wedgewood has put up a fence around and thrown all their possessions onto the sidewalk. They didn't give a fuck about this vacant house, other than as a piece of their portfolio, until the moms claimed it. Now they're in a hurry to flip it?
