at that point it’s not about speech anymore, it’s about actual coordinated violence, on a company’s network. and that company can be held liable for facilitating it, if the right lawyer was involved.

and in principle i agree that ISPs should advocate for the speech rights of their customers — but the problem is that KF and the sites in its locus exist to incite violence against the people they target

it’s honestly strange — fiberhub used to be a very good provider, focusing on energy efficiency and doing things as right as they could afford to do them. and then the trump train rolled through.

a shame that Rob doesn’t care what trash is in his network for years now

Additional targets: Their host is @fiberhub, it is the only peer for AS397702 for the 103.114.191.0/24 network which hosts their git tea instance (which can't be protected by cloudflare) Their abuse email is: abusereports@fiberhub.com

This isn't just some random internet forum going after a streamer. This is a website that has driven prominent open source developers to commit suicide, and actively targeted many more. They are relentless in their targeting and will go after anyone they feel like.

notably, alpine with kde running under wayland and firefox running under MOZ_ENABLE_WAYLAND=1 is able to display 2160p60 video from youtube without dropping frames. not bad for a PC that is designed to go into a factory.

Oklahoma Senator announced he plans to launch legislation to ban medical transition up to the age of 21! As expected, we will start seeing gender transition bans up to the age of 21, then 25, then total bans. This is genocide against trans people.

Given the gravity of the times, I have decided to open source my latest security scanner that complies with some of the latest requiriements. It's really easy to use, and you can pipe binaries, images - anything really- through it. You can thank me later 👍🏽

So in a social system where the produce/producers exist under a decentralized managerial network, unleashing fiercely hierarchical predators strongly moves the system toward much greater variation & value. ie chief execs (public/private) should dominate their admins (agencies/HR)

I try to be positive and post positive things (and cat pics), but when a company is constantly publishing FUD about a free software project I helped to start, I am going to address it, every time.

meanwhile, where i work, the company is treating everyone (and their families) to a holiday (with some hacking) in baja california, as a sign of appreciation for how hard we have all worked this year to get two major products off the ground

My manager frequently tells our team “You’ve gotta be in it for the passion, because it sure isn’t for the money” We’re a billion dollar company and the company sponsored a sales team tropic vacation lol

The C++ Foundation board and ISO can kick you from the C++ committee for retweeting this tweet: ISO and the C++ Foundation Board think having a rapist and a sexual harasser (different people) on the committee is ok, but God help you if you retweet.

Well, it was a good run, but WG21 is basically dead now that most folks can't participate freely. But that's what ISO, INCITS, and WG21's old guard wanted all along isn't it? :) Oh I guess this tweet counts as a "social media attack". lmao
