    This is what it looks like to be an academic woman physician! Coordinating an event from opposite coasts for later this week while we’re both giving talks elsewhere between now and then. But of course the reason women aren’t appointed to leadership is bc of our choices. 🙄

    Unfortunately even as a trainee then an early-career attending I’ve already been witness too often to the sad fact that in the wrong environment it doesn’t matter at all if you’re superb at what you do if you’re a woman and professionally inconvenient to ambitious men around you.
