    It's ! Arena Stage was founded on August 16, 1950. Do you know what our *very* first production was? Hint: While Arena may be known for our bold take on new American work, this one was a classic from across the ocean. It was first performed in London in 1773.

    On Monday, the Arena team honored the life of staff member John Walters. Over the course of a storied career with Arena, John worked within a variety of departments including lighting, scenery, operations and events. We will remember him fondly as a devoted colleague and friend.
