Tbf, don’t think the scart lead he bought has the 5v on pin 9 on the mister end from the sounds of it, I have a 21” Sony and I get a b&w image if there is no power going to scart to activate the RGB on pin16. Commodore monitors don’t need the voltage for rgb, it just works.
