At least one of those falls on you to fix and not the vendor. and this is what's referred to as whataboutism and is a deflection of the actual question.

Don't get it twisted, in "security" this is what is called "threat modeling", and understanding "risk". Your whataboutism need not apply to the reality of the situation that this is a completely unsecured embedded platform.
