Jotego's patreon would not suffer if he was more open with his project, but the man has been playing by his own set of rules for a long time now. He has chosen to be an outsider, at most times. While I know what he does is important, there are better ways to go about it.

Outlier is probably more apt then outsider.

Damn, im so interested in MiSTer but i keep reading things like this and its really confounding to an outsider. That must be really frustrating for the community as a while.

I try to stay out of it and just enjoy the work. I support each person who develops for MiSTer (with a patreon) with the same $1 monthly donation. I don't want anything but publicly released cores. It's not ever going to be the same as an off the shelf project, such as analogue.

Thats a shame but your support is most welcomed to the core creators im sure. The steep price + not owning a pc (except for work) is really holding me back. But jeez what a nice piece of gear.
