This is my biggest personal conflict with using @theypsilon’s update_all script. It’s great work and the best way to keep Jotego’s work up to date. But half of that script calls amoore’s work. I’ve disabled those scripts but I’d love to see those scripts replaced.

Same. When I originally blocked amoore2600 I was helping write some code for those sort scripts. Cleaning up bash statements, you name it. I felt so gross after realizing I was helping him. I also don't touch those.

An apt repo would be dank for cores.

It's been suggested. Sorg makes dumb arguments against it. The whole project should be installable via apt IMO.

A absolutely brain-dead argument. As good as MiST and SiDi are, MiSTer is a better experience. Sorge should be confident on quality alone that MiSTer will win out. I like using my MiSTer. It's kept me from collecting original hardware I don't have room for. :)

"Sorge should be confident on quality alone that MiSTer will win out" I concur, what keeps a community together is the people, and a small mix of the features. If the same features are available in a fork, but the people involved suck, it can have a HUGE impact.

It would need to be significantly better. MiSTer has inertia on its side. It would have to have a big reason for making people want to move. Cost and/or performance would have to be noticeably improved.
