They are "different sports" teams. One sport is the real hardware (The console) the other is not. So they cannot compete with each other. We are not talking about competition, in that sense. We are talking about the possibility of a manageable UI for children.

Yeah if TO can have a competent UI using less resources than what is Sorg's excuse other than "Don't want to"?

It's not like anyone is being stopped from doing it themselves. Hell you could probably con the launchbox guys to port if you pester them enough.

Ah, well, I suppose that would be problematic for something like a fancier UI/UX. I wonder how long it took for Mame to have a decent front end back in the day.

Lol, I don't mind the barebones frontend nature of it currently. Though something nicer to look it is always appreciated. But, this kind of shit is the thing that pushes devs away and the project desperately needs more of them. Especially since Mame is starting to slow down now.

I just don't understand your reasoning when you say that an easy to use UI with pictures (Kid Mode) will make ANY developer quit the project. I don't see the correlation. In any case, a more accessible UI would make more users interested in the project.
