what are you even talking about. You can run all official cores, use the SDRAM board sorg designed, and have the exact same experience as every other Mister user. In fact, that’s an intended use case. It’s why they upload things like the PCB files to GitHub

Who fucking cares if someone on a forum “attacks you”. Fact of that matter is you can build basically all the official hardware yourself, and have the exact same experience.

Lol I got tagged here so; this is the issue with projects like these. So many offshoots and forks in hardware. As there is no “governing body” behind it...that could lead to some QC or incompatibility issues, which would be a bummer for sure

So I hope new hardware releases don’t fracture the experience. I feel for the person who buys into MiSTer without a technical background and wonders why it’s “not working”. If MiSTer gets positioned as a “product” and not a “device” it could be problematic one day

Therein lies the issue; who determines “official”. That’s normally the domain of the owner / manufacturer. In this instance there is no “owner”. I’d hate to see MiSter eat it’s own tail due to its open nature. Openness is awesome but not at the expense of incompatible parts
