I got a similar response when trying to connect my MiSTer to a CRT. Basically: "MiSTer's component video is kind of hacky and it's not the point of the project." So uh... use HDMI or else too bad if it doesn't work, I guess!

I play using my OEM Sega Saturn and SNES controllers and I wouldn't change back to my 8bitdo anytime soon, in fact my 8bitdo controller is collecting dust.
