But we can preserve whatever we want. The NES core is open source, so just fork it and make an unofficial version with extra mappers.
THIS kind of attitude makes me wonder why folks think someone is going to "steal" the project or "hijack" it when literally everyone wants you to go somewhere else, and buy a different "product" or support yourself. Lol So welcoming! We don't care where you go, but it ain't here!

I think we need to understand what we're asking for. We're asking someone else to cater to our whims. I have no problems with forks, and neither does "the community" (whatever that means). The update_all script is built for unofficial cores like LLAPI and jotego's cores.
