SNAC is the only child that works with original lightguns, so missing that header will make that board incompatible for anyone who wants to do that.
My point is the board isn’t broken if it’s just a header. Add it, learn to solder, profit!

I do agree with this but people usually buy populated hardware because they don’t have the tools or experience soldering so that kind of defeats the purpose for most
