Hello @Terasic_FPGA can you help us? The #MiSTerFPGA community thinks you are raising the price on DE10-nano just for them, because they need so much supply. Can you clarify? Is this normal shipping costs / economy price hike? Or just because MiSTer users go so hard? plz advise.

I had always heard the DE10-nano was a subsidized product and that the price was essentially artificially low.

Absolutely is.... Intel has heavily subsidized the DE-10 Nano to encourage students and universities to use the Cyclone platform.

I hope Intel do something in the FPGA nextgen to maintain prices low, else they are lost!, now that AMD is entering into the FPGA market, and Xilinx and Lattice are pushing it really hard! AMD is even trying to acquire Xilinxhttps://seekingalpha.com/article/4379555-amd-to-acquire-xilinx-imitation-games-continue …

I don't want to give them any ideas, but I think the next generation of MiSTer could cost a lot more and still attract a big audience if the cores were quickly ported. Especially with mature accessories, cases etc.

Well, it’s well known that there are “non-official” FPGA-nextgen “development platforms” coming in next months
, based on the CycloneV and in other FPGA flavors too... insanely

much more powerful in the other flavors.1 reply 1 retweet 2 likes -
you spelled "people trying to steal THE project" wrong.

lol
, project, product, what do you really mean?
I don’t understand how an open-source project being expanded and left as open-source forever (following a GPL for instance) can be “stolen” in any # way. Everybody can benefit from that expansion, other can continue...while(1)pic.twitter.com/wfLaX8CuSr3 replies 1 retweet 1 like
