It’s interesting. This happens everytime something is open sourced. The DCDIGITAL, the OSSC.. if anyone that isn’t “approved” by the community makes them.. they are seen as “clones” and “knockoffs” not saying that are perfect quality but “Stan”ing happens very quickly

I know Kaico has a bad reputation for sure. But others have been ousted and treated badly.. because they aren’t “official hardware”.. this is happening with the mister and the addons. We want selection. But if it’s not from 2-3 of the big sellers.. it’s considered crap.

To be fair, I have no issues supporting hardware alternatives if it's quality. I would actually be hyped for a better integrated MiSTer board that could be used in portable devices. Having alternatives also means not relying on a single point of failure as far as supplies go.
