Put yourself in the shoes of the manufacturer or the seller. Would you admit that you are increasing the price of a product because you are selling too much? If the manufacturer attributes the price increase to production and shipping, it is much less contested. It's very simple.

LOL many manufactures are more than happy to tell you where their volume comes from, especially when they already make concessions for educational users.
