this is the thingy I've been talking about, its basically the same kind of one on the naomi, if we could bail out @toyoshim's JVS code to expect this it would simplify it (and we could port it to other chips easier)

if you had multiple of these on a board they'd show up as nodes, i.e if you were building a spinner you'd have one MCU and two of these chained but the "encorder" data going on its own chain.
