So how much would us 3DO lovers have to pool together to get some of you awesome FPGA programmers to tackle and add this core to the MiSTer?! I could pay $200.00 for an old abused console but I’d rather put $200.00 towards a core .... anyone else? This is -

Yes definitely I am a patreon to multiple MiSTer developers .... but how do you request a core that none of my patreon recipients are interested in? ..... I don’t know of any that want to tackle the 3DO for example ....

There's a Jaguar core that's like 85% of the way there and no one wants to put in the last 15%, given how much work it would be for how little gain. You're right that, if the community were large enough to adequately fund one, a "work on X" bounty system would go a long way.

That's money so the existing developers can work on what they want to work on. I don't think the community is large enough to crowdsource the money to hire an FPGA dev with the directive "work on X".
Thanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo

You almost need like a Kickstarter for CORES for something like this
.... make a pool donation bucket and any developers willing to tackle it get to split the pool maybe

Even the Patreons that exist earn FAR less than a skilled FPGA dev could make in the private sector. The community just isn't large enough to run on anything other than goodwill and shared interests.
