One is a software platform that is readily available for anyone to install. The other is a fully packaged product you are buying from an entity in the form that it is.

You’re deep in the weeds in semantics and missing the point. The de10-nano is not required for this project period. For now the only real requirement is a cyclone fpga. There are and have been discussions on porting the logic to lattice just the same. Nothing technically prevents
