Personally, I find Analogue products to have no value except to scalpers, as no one else can buy them, so far. Maybe that'll change, but I'm taking their "anti-scalping" statement with a huge grain of salt.

"MiSTer itself isn't a product" lol wut!? Ya'll mofos are goofy. It is absolutely a productized landscape built around DE-10 nano. You are legit stupid to argue that it isn't a "product". It IS, period. Always will be.pic.twitter.com/wj6toThPmA

You've highlighted the wrong definition of product. We're comparing the top one. Oranges and tangerines was it?

wait, there is a wrong definition of product? That is news to me. Seems you pedantically wanted to limit the choices to ONE vs the other, is the reality?

It could be contextual, meaning in the first instance of the definition.

Forgive me then... no one is manufacturing anything "MiSTer" branded via Gerber files. Those are all just vapor NOT products. They are non MiSTeR Widget things that don't exist. There are only DE-10 nano accessories with MiSTER silk screen, NO products thohttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uAXtO5dMqEI …

actually im starting to see what you mean. Then it made me think how you can buy preconfigured, fully assembled MiSTer units. So yeah, MiSTer is a product at this point, even if the creators/devs dont intend for it to be.

FWIW I was just here for the "important distinction to consider" I thought it was a fun one to deconstruct in real time, even though we wound up no where. lolpic.twitter.com/q34MMnNgXR

Having worked on both open source and commercial "consoles", maybe the distinction is inherently more apparent to me but I'm also poor at explaining, words, and other non-coding skills.
