I'm happy that core development is the focus, its the right thing to do. For it to be adopted by the masses it needs to turn into a 'product'. Likely a GUI and setup guide. I cant wait. I'm so happy with my Mister and am excited to see where it goes.

It does not need a GUI any more than flashcarts do and it’s not going to get one.

That's a valid point. Flashcarts are system specific though. Does the same apply for a device that can handle multiple systems? It is perfectly fine for me. But does that work for someone that just wants to play games that might see the current menu as too technical.

They can read the name of a game but not the name of a system?

People put so much emphasis on having some fancy animated UI, but I just want to launch my games as quickly as possible. Analogue jailbreak consoles also lack a robust UI and seem to do well.

Strangely no one complains about the jailbreaks text based navigation.

Cuz it’s a hack for the original product, as opposed to what it came with, and what the designer intended? Seems like an oranges to Kumquat kinda comparison eh? Sure they are both citrus...pic.twitter.com/KGfkwsdUWl

de10-nano was definitely not designed, manufactured or sold with MiSTer or anything like it in mind.

The "hack" is literally released by the Analogue developer...

It is a design after thought... either way. Kinda like the MiSTer meaning system.
