One frustrating thing with emulation is the sheer amount of effort that gets put in to making something like MAME respectable in any given field, only for the masses to just want to throw money at projects like RetroArch for just rehashing ancient, buggy, versions of our work.

Maybe they should rename it as MAME 0.78, 0.139, etc. Is the 2003, 2005 and 2010 terminology a Libretro thing?

MAME is registered trademark, it is illegal to use "MAME whatever#" unless they have permission (and they dont have it)
