If an arcade game is near impossible to restore, what's so bad about a conversion?

Not necessarily, but I mean a dead board, unreplacable hard drive, etc. Only LCD in worst case scenarios. Driving cabs are okay.
sadly many unreplaceable hard drives are only replaceable by chucking money at people hoarding information. It could be way easier if folks helped enabled people. I feel ya in the above mentioned cases re: dead board , drive, etc. CRT tho, that is fighting territory.pic.twitter.com/CsjXlKtq2E

Yeah, for sure In this case it's just a temple run game - nothing monumentallg worth saving. I might turn it into a giant centipede machine.
